GREEN LIGHTS, YELLOW CARS, CHURCH STEEPLES

In the Great Gatsby, there has been a great meaning throughout the story. Gatsby has been fond of the idea of getting Daisy back to his side. He knew that she enjoyed money. He would throw that most grand party for a girl in hope that she would fall into his arms. Yet, that girl would also be the one reason his life ended. If Daisy were to not have been driving the yellow car, I'm sure Gatsby would have still be living. The Great Gatsby demonstrates that sometimes it's healthy to forget the past and because you will never become who you once were. Gatsby said that he believed that everything will go back in time when he and Daisy were inseparable. Yet, I believe that after they were separated for so long, Daisy learned to love Tom.

Nick would be dragged into the drama of these people who were having affair. Nick seemed to enjoy it to the point where he forget who he even was. Throughout the book he's constantly thinking about the problems of others and never his own. The reader could hardly ever connect with Nick because not much is revealed about him. Nick looked up at Gatsby's house as a church steeple and he was wondering what he has gotten into. Once he stepped in to the problem, there was no going back.
